19.05.05 New Nordic hydrogen project - from Molde to Hamburg
The Nordic countries have a number of unique possibilities for establishing a connected hydrogen infrastructure: Large amounts of renewable energy, a number of companies with energy technology know how and many good possibilities for co-operation across frontiers.
Hydrogen is a long-term solution to the increasing supply and environmental challenges of fossil fuels.
With the Hydrogen Link project Nordic Transportpolitical Network (NTN) takes the first step towards the establishment of a Green Nordic Hydrogen Transportation Corridor through Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
Prototypes and demonstration vehicles and filling stations have existed for many years.
The next step is the roll out of a hydrogen infrastructure based on local hydrogen filling stations connected in larger networks.
Hydrogen Link is to investigate possibilities for establishing a Hydrogen Road through East/West Jutland to Northern Germany and how this with the Nordic Ferries can be connected with the Hydrogen Roads in Norway (HyNor) and Sweden (Vätgasväg i Västsverige)
A Hydrogen Link Workshop will be held in Aarhus, Denmark on the 14th of June 2005.
Companies, organisations, authorities and privates are welcome to join
Hydrogen Link is to secure a local support for a shared network in the 14 regions that are part of NTN.
Ringkjøbing County and H2 Logic ApS handles the project work, which is to finish with a report on the NTN Transportation Conference I Stavanger, Norway, 5-6 October 2005.
Hydrogen Link is to create a basis for continuous work towards the creation of a future Nordic Hydrogen Transportation Corridor, that can attract international companies and funding.
